Current Manakonline: What It Is
The current Manakonline (www.manakonline.in) is BIS's primary online portal for certification and registration services. It handles Product Certification (ISI mark), Foreign Manufacturer Certification (FMCS), Hallmarking, and partial CRS services. The CRS scheme has its own dedicated portal at crsbis.in.
The existing platform was built over many years on Java/J2EE technology. While functional, it has limitations in user experience, mobile access, integration capability, and scalability.
The New MOP: What Is Being Built
The new Manakonline Platform (referred to as MOP in the tender documents) will be a comprehensive enterprise-grade unified digital platform that consolidates:

Timeline for Going Live
The project is structured in 6 batches. The contract winner (System Integrator) starts development at T+0 (contract signing). Key go-live milestones:
- T+13 months: LIMS and Lab Recognition live
- T+16 months: Product Certification (ISI mark) live
- T+19 months: Hallmarking live
- T+21 months: CRS (online electronics registration) live
- T+25 months: All modules live with AI/ML/GIS integration
After go-live, the O&M (Operations and Maintenance) phase runs for 5 years, ensuring continuous improvement and support.
